Starting Seeds *edited*

Today I started seeds.

  • 5 Pumpkin
  • 5 Watermelon
  • 10  Homestead Tomato
  • 5 Purple Dragon Carrots
  • 5 Nantes II Carrots
  • 5 Greek Basil
  • 5 Bouquet Dill
  • 10 Yellow Pear Tomato

Jeff bought me a Seed Starting Kit., it's like a mini greenhouse. I planned on planting in the garden last Monday but we haven't had rain (until last night) in over a week so digging was impossible. We are going to head out in a bit and see what kind of change we have after rain last night.

I do plan on planting seeds directly into the soil to compare to the ones in the seed starter. We have tons more stuff to plant. You might ask where the extra seeds came from, in the last post I didn't have half that many. Well I am reviewing some Organic seeds from Cubits Organics. They sent 7 packs and I am hoping to get everything planted. If you want to win 7 packs of seeds for yourself enter at In the Mommy Business HERE and I will pick a winner Wednesday.

Hopefully I will be here later posting about how well planting went, but lets not hold our breath.

**It is now nearly 2 hours later and we are all finished making the garden plot. Now I just have to get out an plant the seeds I am putting out there. Jeff is off with his step-dad fixing our car, so I have to wait until he gets back to go out. (unless I feel like chasing Aedan instead of planting) I am using my time to map out what gets planted where and hoping all this works out for us. I am excited to see how it goes.

***and another few hours later we are done planting what we are going to plant for now. The rest of what we have to plant is in the seed starter.

Now time for pictures of the best gardening team. ( I promise there will be a better entry and pictures of me later)
